Produced in early 20th century China, this small, bowl-shaped drum is framed in wood, with its inner rim strengthened by flange and two pairs of rings mounted at its ends, that would perhaps have had a strap attached making it easier to carry. These types of drums were often used in rituals, festivals and dances.
